: Perform developmental evaluations
(teachers), parent assessments (social workers), parent informings, evaluation
site representative at IFSP meetings, intake team member. Home visiting to all
communities is part of this position.
: Be a key member of our dynamic intake
team which assesses young children with speech delay, overall delay, and a variety
of other developmental delays and disabilities including autism. Identify infants
and toddlers with disabilities to ensure they receive early help. Work with families
in the challenging process of learning about their child’s delays and helping them through
the process of planning for services. Play a main role in assessing parent concerns,
and their child’s needs as they go through the evaluation process to determine
eligibility for services for their infant or toddler. Work with other experts
in early childhood assessment to contribute to the first steps taken towards
the families receiving help for their child. Approximately 2 days/week performing
evaluations, 2 days evaluation team meetings/work, 1 day additional meetings,
administrative work. Group program involvement optional.
